Groundbreaking to begin Monday for Redstone Gateway

From the Huntsville Times--

HUNTSVILLE, AL -- Local, state and federal officials will break ground Monday for the start of construction on Redstone Gateway, a $1 billion commercial and retail development at the edge of Redstone Arsenal. 

 The invitation-only groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Gate 9 Visitors Center on Rideout Road, just off of Interstate 565, according to a news release. Construction on the $1 billion office park is expected to get under way in early November.

Plans call for 52 large office buildings holding as many as 15,000 government workers and defense contractors, two hotels, multiple restaurants, an academic campus and outdoor concert venue.

**Job Fair** - The Huntsville Times Mega Career Expo

There is a job fair that will be at the Von Braun Center (VBC), Monday, August 23, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some positions will require a security clearance, so registration and screening will take place at the door.
